We are excited about the variety of ministries available to
adults at Community Nazarene.
We offer:
Each group is designed to help you with your spiritual
journey and to gain lifelong friends.
Adult Sunday
School offers four classes available for all ages at 9:30 a.m.
every Sunday. Each class is
unique in its study content, teaching style and fellowship opportunities.
So, you can choose which one fits you best.
It’s where the Bible comes to life with discussion and the use of
various media to illustrate biblical principles.
There is also a time for fellowship and the sharing of prayer
concerns. You’re recognized
when you are present and missed when you are absent.
The friendships gained here will last a lifetime.
Bible
studies
are available at various times – some during the week and some on Sundays
outside of the Sunday School time at 9:30 a.m.
Find your place in studying God’s Word together with fellow
believers usually in a casual and comfortable setting.
There are studies at Colonial Villa and Alterra facilities for their
residents. Some studies are
designed to attract unbelievers, some are for spiritual growth and
discipleship. We also have the
capability to design studies for individuals who would spend time one-to-one
with a teacher who will concentrate on that particular person’s needs.
Small Groups
meet at different times during the week according to the group’s needs. Some are for fellowship and nurturing, others are involved in
topical studies relevant to life issues.
Women’s
ministries are the driving force behind many great ideas and
activities at Community Nazarene such as “craft nights”, “ladies’
night out”, showers, shopping trips, bake sales, trips
to “Women of
Faith” & “Women of Virtue” conferences, special speakers,
ladies’ Bible study, the all-church Christmas party, mother-daughter
banquet, various fun activities and ministry opportunities throughout the
year.
Men at Community Nazarene are working together to minister
to other men, our wives, and our families.
“Prime
Time” is our ministry to senior adults, age 55 and older.
There are monthly breakfasts
at Shirlene’s Restaurant (2nd
Friday); luncheons and holiday parties; sightseeing trips – local,
overnight or up to several days; and special events throughout the year just
for senior adults. Occasionally,
the seniors will form a choir and present a program with music and skits; do
work projects around the church or help people with specific needs.
This is the “Prime Time” of your life.
Join us for the fun, fellowship and ministry.
